Creating Hardship from Inaccurate Thoughts

Unfortunately, in life we have many opportunities to create hardship. Most of the time it starts with an inaccurate thought.

Some examples of inaccurate thoughts: thinking we know what someone else is experiencing, denying that things are constantly changing, thinking no one else would understand, thinking someone else is responsible for our experience…

When we have inaccurate thoughts that we believe to be true and we act on them, it’s like having a map to somewhere we’d like to go but being mistaken about which direction is north. We can work really hard and spend a lot of energy and resources trying to get there but never achieve our goal or arrive at our destination. Working from the inaccurate thought about which direction is north creates a lot of hardship and often times creates more inaccurate thoughts such as “no matter how hard I try I’ll never get there”.

Take time to explore your own thoughts. Are you creating hardship?
